Second of three releases chronologically compiling Thelonious Monk's Blue Note sessions. The cover is a minor reworking of the original 1956 compilation "Genius Of Modern Music Volume Two" with which this shares just two tracks.

In jewel case with obi. Four page cover insert includes the session chronology ("Discographical Data"). An additional fold out insert features liner notes in Japanese backed by a facsimile of the original 1956 LP jacket back cover with liner notes in English.
